As Principal and founder of Irving Hughes, Craig A. Irving offers almost twenty-five years worth of experience in all aspects of commercial real estate leasing and sales in San Diego, with an exclusive emphasis on tenant representation since 1993.
A native San Diegan, Mr. Irving earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration through the University of Southern California's prestigious entrepreneur program.
Mr. Irving's real estate company is the largest tenant representation firm in the County of San Diego, averaging in excess of 2 million square feet of corporate leasing annually. Irving Hughes clients represent the diverse economy of San Diego including; financial services, Telco's, high-tech companies, bio-tech companies, government and non-profit organizations.
In addition, Mr. Irving was co-founder, former President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of the local high-tech start-up firm Confirmnet Corporation. After ten years of stewardship and growth, Mr. Irving sold the company to a public entity in 2008.
Mr. Irving is a graduate of the 1990 class of the prestigious LEAD San Diego, Inc. program. He was also a Director, past President and Chairman of the Board of the San Diego League. Additionally, Mr. Irving has been an active fundraiser for local organizations such as CAPF, San Diego Symphony, Pro Kids Golf Academy, Camp Pendleton YMCA benefiting the US Marine Corps, American Heart Association, Senior Community Centers, Casey's Place, Vista Hill Foundation, Naval Special Warfare Foundation, Neighborhood House, Paralyzed Veterans Association and many others.
In addition, he served two years as Chairman of the Downtown San Diego Partnership, two years as Chairman of the San Diego Police Foundation, and one year as the Chairman of San Diego Young President's Organization. He was a former Board Member of the San Diego Commercial Association of Realtors, Board Member of the Local Chapter of CCIM, Board Member of Lambda Alpha International, Lead San Diego, Child Abuse Prevention Foundation, Board of Trustees for Children's Hospital, The Downtown San Diego Partnership, an advisory Board Member of The Senior Community Center, Member of the Rotary Club 33, and a Member of the City's Science and Technology Commission. He currently serves on the board of the Point Loma Nazarene President's Community Council, board member of the San Diego Police Foundation, board of the San Diego Community Foundation, and the board of Promises 2 Kids.
Mr. Irving, his wife, Rebecca, and their five children live in Point Loma.
