Craig Knox brings over 20 years of business experience serving on the management teams of software, semiconductor, telecom and business services companies including having run sales and business development for two public companies and three venture-backed private companies.
Craig joined Irving Hughes in early 2006 and is a licensed California real estate broker. Craig had strategic operating roles in high growth companies including multimedia software developer PRAJA, which was acquired by Tibco, and CBS StoreRunner Network, an e-commerce services company. He also was with Bay Area company Matrix Semiconductor, recently acquired by SanDisk, and the Internet appliance division of telecom equipment manufacturer CIDCO, which was acquired by Earthlink. Craig's strategic planning, financial analysis and negotiation skills, developed from being a key player on management teams, are a unique asset in serving clients in their corporate real estate needs.
Prior to joining Irving Hughes, Craig was responsible for business development and client services for the law firm of Cooley Godward LLP in San Diego.
Craig formerly served on the Board of Directors of CommNexus, where he currently chairs the Capital Markets Committee. Craig was Chair of the 2007 Moores UCSD Cancer Center Longboard Inviational & Luau, which has raised over $3 million for cancer research since its inception 15 years ago. He has served on the Magdalena Ecke YMCA board of directors and was co-chair of the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation Golf Classic.
Craig received a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and a Masters in Engineering from Stanford University where he was a SIMA Fellow. He holds Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University where he graduated with honors. Craig is an avid surfer in North County San Diego where he resides with his wife and four children.
