David Marino specializes in high-value, time-critical and complex transactions for technology, life science and business service companies. He is an expert in the strategic planning, market assessment, financial analysis, business terms structuring and negotiations aspects of commercial real estate. David has an in-depth command of the entire facility lease, purchase and disposition process and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

David has been exclusively representing tenants since 1991, completing over 11,000,000 square feet, comprised of over 1,000 transactions. Between 1989 and 1991, David worked at Trammell Crow Company, then the largest commercial real estate owner in the U.S. where he learned the business from the landlord side of the table. David has a broad business background as an early stage angel investor in over twenty companies and is a LP in venture capital funds including Mission Ventures, Windward Ventures, Hamilton Bioventures and Avalon Ventures.

David was named one of 2003's "40 Under 40" by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine for business success and community contributions. Also in 2003, David and his wife, Patsy, were the Chairpersons of the 27th Annual Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego's Monte Carlo Nights which raised $470,000 for MCASD's educational programs. In 2004, David and Patsy hosted the annual Voices for Children Starry Starry Nights fundraiser at their home raising a net $140,000 for children in the foster care system, and were the chairs of the 2006 event, raising over $200,000. David is past President and Chairman of the San Diego Venture Group, is on the Board of Directors of The Gillispie School in La Jolla and BIOCOM, and serves on the Board of Directors for The Mundoval Fund, a publicly traded mutual fund. David is the only San Diego County commercial real estate professional to be recognized by The Irvine Company as "Broker of the Year" from the 2005 inception and every single year through 2009. David has been a guest lecturer at both the University of San Diego and USC graduate schools of real estate, and the USC Graduate School of Business on the topic "The Top 10 Fatal Flaws of Proforma Development."
