As General Counsel for Irving Hughes, Mr. McCrary is responsible for the legal affairs of the company. He is admitted to the bar in California as well as being a licensed California Real Estate Broker. Prior to joining Irving Hughes, Mr. McCrary was in private practice, focusing on real estate transactional law.

Before practicing law, Mr. McCrary worked in both the real estate and construction industry. Mr. McCrary owned and operated a real estate brokerage office in San Diego, and worked as a project engineer for the commercial general contractor Nielsen Dillingham. As an engineer, he oversaw construction on CCDC's downtown parking garage "Park-it-on-Market", SDSU's Athletic Administration Building and Hall of Fame, the luxury high-rise condominium Park Laurel, and numerous tenant improvement and tilt-up construction projects.

Mr. McCrary holds a Master of Law (LL.M) in Real Property Development from the University of Miami, and obtained his law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Technology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is also a LEED for New Construction Accredited Professional.

Mr. McCrary, his wife Dana, and their three daughters live in the Del Sur community in North San Diego.
