Steven Gorup joined the Irving Hughes/CM team in 2010 as a Project Engineer. Steven earned a degree in Construction Science and Management from Kansas State University.
As a Project Engineer, Steven is knowledgeable and experienced in many facets of the construction process, including contract administration, project scheduling, estimating and document control. Steven is a LEED for New Construction Accredited Professional, which is essential for green-building technology implementation. In 2009, Steven obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate, a strategy designed to improve quality while simultaneously eliminating cost and administrative excess. Prior to joining Irving Hughes/CM, Steven was a Project Engineer with Rudolph and Sletten Inc., where he completed the 65,000 square foot expansion and renovation of the University of San Diego's Student Life Pavilion, which achieved LEED Silver Certification.
Steven is involved with Walk Now for Autism Speaks and volunteers for the Special Olympics of Southern California. Steven resides in San Diego and enjoys golfing, running and traveling in his free time.
