Email: travisc@irvinghughes.com

Travis Carter is a native San Diegan who has devoted his career to the commercial real estate community. As a licensed Real Estate Broker, Travis focuses on orchestrating long-term fully integrated solutions that involve analyzing his clients' business objectives and delivering viable real estate options. His experience encompasses lease negotiations, site selection, and project feasibility. In addition to making the initial contact and cultivating relationships with some of the most prominent business leaders in San Diego, Travis contributes persistence, creativity, and high energy to the Irving Hughes team.

Travis and his partners represent nearly 70% of the tenants in Downtown San Diego with their office relocations, lease renewals, expansions, contractions, and building purchases. Much of their success is derived from their ability to provide their clients with a sophisticated arsenal of services, from strategic planning and comprehensive financial analysis focused on balance sheet implications to business plan consulting and demographic analysis of potential customer bases and other decisions that can impact the bottom line. This sophisticated approach to business allows the team to assist clients in a long-term, strategic consulting role, versus simply finding space and negotiating a lease document. While being at Irving Hughes, Travis has closed over one hundred lease transactions totaling nearly $40,000,000 in transactional value.

Prior to joining Irving Hughes, Travis worked for a small tenant representation firm specializing in office building leasing. He focused a majority of his time in all major suburban markets where he assisted his tenant clients in all phases of negotiations and real estate brokerage. Mr. Carter earned his degree in business administration with a real estate concentration from Point Loma Nazarene University. He has completed several postgraduate courses in commercial real estate and is currently taking courses to earn his CCIM designation.

In partnership with Junior Achievement, Travis has volunteered over 100 hours teaching Business Economics to a local elementary school. Travis is also a member of The Downtown San Diego Partnership where he spends his time advocating on relevant issues that affect the design and development of Downtown San Diego. He is also a board member of the Vista Hill Foundation. On the weekends, Travis spends his time serving at his local Church as well as surfing, playing guitar, and reading. Travis and his wife, Ashlyn, currently reside in Point Loma.
